Registered Midwifery Program

The programme is currently offering an Advanced Diploma in Midwifery to in-service nurses who are passionate about the health of women and families and newborn babies. The programme uses a curriculum from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia (NMCZ) which has the mandate to regulate Nursing and Midwifery education in Zambia. The duration of training is one year six months. The courses covered include:

    Experienced faculty: Learn from experienced midwives with expertise in maternal and new-born care.

    Learning approach: Full-time using various teaching and learning methods.

    Clinical focus: Clinical skill shall be acquired through demonstrations, role plays, videos and simulations. Case studies and presentations shall be used to strengthen reflective learning.
