Library Membership

Membership to Lusaka college of nursing and midwifery Library is restricted to our students and members of staff only.

Opening time 08: 00 hours

Closing time 19: 30 hours

Bring Your Student ID: You may need it to access the library or use certain resources.
Z
Save Your Work: Always save files to a USB drive, cloud storage, or the college’s network to avoid losing data.

Follow Lab Rules: Respect policies on noise, food, and equipment use.
Z
Ask for Help: Lab assistants are available to assist with any technical issues or questions.

General Regulations and Library Fines

No bags or briefcases are allowed to be taken inside the library.
Z
All bags and brief cases to remain on the space provided by the library.
Z
Use of phones are restricted in the library. All phones are to be put on silent.
Z
A library user maybe suspended from use of the library for wrong conduct.
Z
No water, beverage or food are allowed in the library.

Z
Fines of overdue books from the library will be charged at the rate of K10 per day per book.
Z
The charges are effective from the day after the book is due.
Z
A Library user who loses or damages a book will replace the book by buying a new copy with a receipt.
Z
A book borrowed from short loan shall be returned within 48 hours from the time the book was borrowed.

Book Loans and Reservations

Z
LUCON students will use college identity cards to borrow and return books to the library.
Z
Members of staff will borrow books for one (1) month.
Z
LUCON students will be allowed to borrow three (3) books at a go for two (2) weeks from the open shelves and renew for further two (2) weeks upon request.
Z
Books marked REFERENCE may not be borrowed but to used within the library. An overdue book shall not be renewed.
